Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the Service Centre.

• Manage and record incoming materials and all return-to-stock material.

• Supervise the pulling and allocation of input materials for production requirements.

• Conduct detailed handovers with the Night Shift Supervisor to ensure continuity of operations.

• Manage and coordinate all processing activities, including guillotining, cutting, shearing, band saw operations, and other steel processing functions.

• Oversee and assist with band saw operations where required.

• Ensure production schedules are achieved efficiently, safely, and on time.

• Monitor workflow and allocate resources to maximize productivity and throughput.

• Lead, motivate, train, and manage Service Centre personnel.

• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and operational performance.

• Ensure machinery is operated safely, effectively, and in accordance with company procedures.

• Work closely with maintenance personnel to minimize downtime and ensure preventative maintenance schedules are adhered to.

• Monitor quality standards and ensure all processed material meets customer specifications.

• Drive waste reduction initiatives and optimize material utilization.

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.

• Provide regular production, efficiency, and performance reports to management.

• Assist with capacity planning and future operational improvement initiatives.

• Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the Service Centre.
